고혜영(b.1994)은 자연을 바라보며 몸에 스며든 감각의 상태를 회화적 언어로 옮기는 작업을 지속해오고 있다. 바람에 흔들리는 풀과 나무, 서로 부딪히며 만들어지는 소리와 형상, 미세하게 변화하는 빛과 흐름 속에서 느리게 감각을 받아들이는 태도에 주목하며, 이러한 태도는 ‘감각을 어떻게 받아들이고 표현할 것인가’라는 질문으로 이어간다.
Ko Hye-young (b. 1994) has been continuously working to translate the states of sensation absorbed into the body while observing nature into a painterly language. Focusing on an attitude of slowly receiving sensations amidst grass and trees swaying in the wind, sounds and forms created by their collision, and subtly changing light and flow, this attitude leads to the question of "how to receive and express sensations."
